When you are working in the Library module sometimes you just need to rename one file or a group of files quickly. Simply press the F2 key and Lightroom will present you with a dialog box that will allow you to rename all your selected files. It even gives you access to all your file naming templates.

Great tip…I have been wanted to change how I name my images. Gonna take alot of work but be worth it in the end.

This is a terrific tip. Reading Adobe’s online help doesn’t seem to push this simple one-key solution as an obvious answer, but instead refers you to import and export options. What I wanted was, having imported a shoot, to be able to rename ‘in situ’. This does it. Thank you!
