Lightroom Community Help

Along with the new Lightroom 2.0, Adobe has launched a new and very useful Community Help site. Now you are able to search Adobe content as well as other great content from around the web!

You can ask questions, make comments, help your fellow Lightroom users, and get the help you need! The site is moderated by Adobe personnel and other outside Pro Contributors (including yours truly!) so you can expect that someone will answer your question or direct you to the proper site for help.

This Community Help site has been in place for Flex users for a few months and has been a great resource. Now Lightroom users can benefit from the same excellent technology.

Head on over and see for yourself!

I have Lightroom 1.4, but keep getting a corruption message. Sometimes Lightroom would go into “Safe Mode” on it’s own! I have tried the “Add/Remove” method, but nothing seem’s to work; what do you suggest? Thx

    Hi Greg!

Make sure you have LR 1.4.1. There was a brief release of LR 1.4 that had problems and was taken down by Adobe and then they put up 1.4.1. If you are running 1.4 go to http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/product.jsp?product=113&platform=Windows for Windows or http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/product.jsp?product=113&platform=Macintosh for Mac and download the 1.4.1 update.

If you do have 1.4.1 then remove LR and reinstall from your original media. Then, immediately go and download the update to 1.4.1. See if that helps.

On a different note I’d really suggest you upgrade. Download the beta for LR 3 from Adobe Labs. Then upgrade when the final version is released. A LOT has gone on since version 1.x.

    Regards,
    Gene
